Privacy Policy

Last updated August 22, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information rift1 ("rift1", "we", "us", or "our") collects through this website (the "Site"), why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It covers browsing the inventory and submitting an inquiry through our contact form. It does not cover information you give us outside the Site — for example, over email, phone, or when shipping a card to us for consignment.

Information we collect

We don't use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts anywhere on the Site, and browsing the inventory doesn't require an account or collect any personal information. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to give us by submitting the inquiry form:

  • Your name and email address
  • The message you write
  • The inquiry type you select (purchase inquiry, consultation request, consignment request, or other)
  • If applicable, a reference to the specific card or listing your inquiry concerns, and a price range you specify

We don't collect payment information through the Site. No purchase or consignment agreement is finalized through the Site — payment and shipping details are arranged separately, directly with our team, after we're in contact with you about your inquiry.

How we use it

We use the information you submit only to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and route it to the right person on our team
  • Send you an automatic confirmation email acknowledging receipt, including a reference number for your inquiry
  • Look up the listing you referenced, if any, so we can include it in our response

We don't use your information for advertising or profiling, and we don't make any automated decisions about you based on it.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own purposes. It passes through two service providers strictly to operate the Site:

  • Google Cloud Platform / Firebase — hosts the Site and stores your inquiry record in our database.
  • Resend — delivers the confirmation email to you and the internal notification to our team.

Both process your information only as needed to provide these services to us, under their own data processing and security terms with Google.

How long we keep it

We retain inquiry records — the information listed above — indefinitely, as our record of past inquiries and to help us follow up if it's useful to you (for example, if a card you asked about becomes available again). We don't set an automatic deletion date; instead, we'll delete your inquiry record at any time on request — see "Your rights" below. If your inquiry leads to a consignment or purchase, the resulting business records (invoices, consignment agreements, shipping records, and similar) are kept for as long as needed for that transaction and our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Data security

We limit access to inquiry records to authenticated staff accounts, and our database rules block direct client access to inquiry data entirely — all reads and writes go through access-controlled server functions. Data in transit to and from the Site is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved.

International data transfers

Our service providers (Google Cloud / Firebase, Resend) may process and store your information on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required by law, we rely on those providers' standard contractual safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your information:

  • Access — ask us what information we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate information
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your information at any time
  • Restriction or objection — ask us to limit how we use your information
  • Portability — ask for a copy of your information in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@rift1.gg. We'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

California residents

We don't sell or "share" (as defined under the CCPA) your personal information, and we don't use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. In addition to the rights listed above, California residents have the right to know the categories of personal information we've collected and the right to non-discrimination for exercising any privacy right. To submit a request, use the contact information below.

EU and UK residents (GDPR)

Our legal basis for processing your information is your consent (submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries you initiate. In addition to the rights above, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

China-based users (PIPL)

If you are located in mainland China, you additionally have the right to know how your information is handled, to restrict or refuse its processing, to request an explanation of our processing rules, and to have your information transferred to another provider where technically feasible.

Children's privacy

This Site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we collect, use, or retain your information — for example, if we add analytics or cookies — we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
